Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is an in depth, complicated book with mature content and language that can easily be questioned. Therefore, it should be taken of libraries for children under the age of 13. This book has very mature language for kids who may not understand the context in which they're using it as it relates back to the time period with language that is now questioned. This is one reason why it should be banned or cautioned for kids under 13. It also has quite a lot of graphic violence. Of Mice and Men is a book about two slightly troubled men so they run into situations leading up to fights, and Steinbeck described them with a lot of depth which got overwhelming at times. Some people might say that kids should decide if they're ready to read this themselves, but they might not know what's included, and by banning for under 13 we can somewhat guarantee that they're not being exposed before they're really ready. Kids need to be able to understand these topics and kids under 13 may not be able to. Therefore we should ban Of Mice and Men for kids under 13.

Although this was an accidental murder it could make people uncomfortable to read and have described. The violence in this book may be harmless to many but it's that small amount of people that will take it to heart and use it in their own life and up until 13 you can't completely guarantee the maturity needed to control themselves. We should be able to somewhat guarantee that kids aren't being exposed to books too early, especially classics, and by banning for under 13 we can help make a start on that. Monday Muse Post
I have recently been listening to one of Justin Bieber's first albums (My World 2.0). Although it was originally because I had to keep waiting for more music, it has now bought me back faith in Justin. Recently his stories have been anything but promising for his fans but listening to this music made me realize that yes, he has changed lately, but it's just him growing up. If we all had cameras on us throughout our lives we probably wouldn't seem like the greatest people either.
There are things in this album that make him sound like an egotistical teenager, such as Kiss and Tell and Eenie Meenie, and they're still great songs, what can you expect from a teen pop star? You can also hear songs where it seems like he's a true down to earth person, such as Overboard and Never Let You Go and this is what no one seems to notice. I went to the Believe tour twice and I did see a change, he was an hour late to the second but who knows his actual story? The media is only going to focus on the bad for publicity reasons and lately I've had nothing else to believe but these stories. Listening to this album, although not a real importance, has inspired me to bring back faith in Justin and not to just believe he stories I'm reading in the media but to believe that he is still really the same person he was at 13 and he's only growing up.
